To Kill A Mockingbird

Absolute will be providing the automation for To Kill a Mockingbird, Aaron Sorkin’s new play based on Harper Lee’s Pulitzer Prize-winning novel. This production, which hasn't played to an empty seat since opening on Broadway. The production was originally scheduled to start it's run at London’s Gielgud Theatre in May 2020, but has now been rescheduled for March 2022.

Harper Lee’s enduring story of racial injustice and childhood innocence has sold 45 million copies worldwide. 2020 will mark the 60th anniversary of its publication.

To bring the set, designed by Miriam Buether, to life Absolute will be providing winches and control equipment to power: Three stage lifts, six winches - both direct flown and counterweight assisted, two floor tracks and two sets of steps.

To Kill a Mockingbird is directed by Bartlett Sher, designed by Miriam Buether, with costumes by Ann Roth, lighting by Jennifer Tipton, sound by Scott Lehrer and an original score by Adam Guettel.
