Absolute Motion Control provided the control system for Who’s Afraid of Virginia Woolf? at Soho Place. At the heart of the staging is a 5.8m revolve, designed and built by Danny Hayter, driven by two of our gearboxes and motors integrated into bespoke drive units built into the revolve itself. At its centre, our Airo lift raises and lowers performers through the stage. The whole system is operated via a Rack[Four] and Desk[Five], with custom Safe Edge, connected through a SafeEdge[Box], forming a circular ring around the lift platform to keep everything safe in motion.
