Absolute Motion Control returned to Chichester Festival Theatre for their 2026 season to support the production of Magic, testing and re-commissioning 10x Whirly Reelers and 2x Revolves, to ensure everything was performance ready from the first day of fit up.

Working closely with the Chichester Festival Theatre team, we were able to draw on existing inventory to keep production costs down while making full use of technology that has been built up and invested in over time. By dedicating time working alongside venue staff, we ensured the equipment could be used to its full potential across the production.

Alongside this, a custom roller drop truss used on a previous Chichester production was re-commissioned for Magic rather than sourcing something new. Chichester Festival Theatre are keen to implement the Green Book where possible, and this was a great example of that in practice. Rather than discarding bespoke engineering at the end of a production run, the team were able to give this piece of equipment a second life and reduce waste while making better use of an existing investment.
