In collaboration with Cardiff Theatrical Services, we designed and delivered a large friction driven truck spanning the majority of the Barbican Theatre’s expansive stage. Powered by multiple servo drive units paired with our external encoder for precise positional accuracy, we kept the truck depth to a minimum without compromising performance. The package also included two RoRo winches running within low profile floor tracks, seamlessly integrated into the show floor. The entire system was powered by our [Rack Four] and rigorously tested at CTS ahead of fit up at the Barbican.
