Absolute Motion Control were selected by production manager Simon Bourne to deliver the 28-axis automation system for the West End transfer of My Neighbour Totoro, designed by Tom Pye. AMC previously supplied the system for two consecutive sell-out runs at the Barbican Theatre. The setup features seven counterweight assists, five direct-fly winches, 10 sliders, a revolve, video-tracking encoders on manually flown pieces, custom flippers built into the stage floor, and a wireless, battery-powered truck.
