Our winches are engineered to handle the full spectrum of stage automation needs — from compact lifts in tight grids to versatile multi-line systems for complex effects. Each model combines precision, flexibility, and quiet operation with the highest levels of safety and compliance, giving your production team confidence and your audience a seamless experience.
A compact, zero-fleet winch offering versatile mounting and wreathing configurations for modern stage automation.
Designed for maximum flexibility, the RoRo Winch supports single-line, two-line, and roll-on/roll-off wreathing configurations, making it ideal for a wide range of theatrical applications. It’s modular divert system allows for quick reconfiguration, enabling use across Direct Flying, Counterweight-Assist, and Floor Track systems with minimal downtime.
At its core is a high-performance servo motor with an integrated absolute encoder, delivering precise motion control. Dual silenced brakes ensure exceptionally quiet operation, while 4-way rotary limit switches provide robust protection against over-travel. The integrated cross-groove detection system safeguards against improper drum winding, maintaining reliability and extending rope life.
With a 30-metre stroke in single-line and 15 metres in two-line operation, the RoRo Winch is equally at home in both large-scale venues and compact performance spaces.
Measuring as low as 218mm in width, this winch is compact enough to be installed on existing fly systems and can operate effectively on adjacent bars – maximising rigging potential in even the tightest grids.
The RoRo Winch is fully EN17206 compliant and includes a comprehensive suite of safety functions rated up to SIL3, ensuring it meets the highest standards for professional stage machinery.
The Sky Winch is a compact, non-zero fleet winch designed for unmatched versatility in professional stage environments. Capable of operating in single, dual, triple, or four-line configurations, it offers exceptional flexibility for a wide range of lifting applications. Its high-capacity drum delivers strokes of up to 35.4 metres in one or two line configurations, making it ideal for larger venue requirements.
Engineered with practicality in mind, the Sky Winch mounts directly to size 30 or 40 truss using standard 48mm diameter tube clamps with 350mm chord centres. This truss-friendly format allows for fast and secure installation without the need for custom rigging solutions. Its compact cube-like footprint makes it easy to manoeuvre into tight spaces, perfect for challenging grid installations and multiple integrated lifting and fixing points support safe handling and flexible positioning.
All electrical wiring is fully integrated, supporting a comprehensive suite of onboard features. With an integrated IO[Box] prewired and pre-mounted, there’s no need for additional accessory installation or on-site terminations making setup fast, clean, and efficient.
At the heart of the Sky Winch is a powerful servo motor with an integrated absolute encoder, providing accurate, repeatable positioning. Dual silenced brakes ensure ultra-quiet performance, while four-way rotary limit switches protect against over-travel. Cross-groove detection actively prevents improper drum winding, enhancing system reliability and extending rope life. A secondary load-side encoder further elevates positional reliability, meeting stringent requirements for critical lifting operations.
Fully compliant with EN17206, the Sky Winch includes an advanced suite of integrated safety features rated up to SIL3, offering peace of mind in even the most demanding productions.
The Mini Winch is a lightweight, compact solution for hoisting scenic elements up to 30kg with precision and reliability. Engineered specifically for tight spaces, its small footprint makes it ideal for theatre grids, especially in space-constrained West End venues.
Despite its compact format, the Mini Winch supports both single and two-line wreathing configurations without compromising on stroke, offering a generous 10.9m of travel in either configuration. Utilising high-strength 3mm steel wire rope, it delivers an outstanding power-to-weight ratio, making it the perfect choice for lifting lightweight scenic props and elements.
At its core is a space-efficient servo motor with an integrated absolute encoder, enabling smooth, accurate, and repeatable motion. Dual output brakes provide secure load holding, while a 4-way rotary limit switch system offers robust over-travel protection. Each drum features an independently adjustable cross-groove detection system, ensuring correct cable winding, improving reliability, and extending wire rope lifespan.
With overall dimensions of just 800mm x 380mm x 245mm, the Mini Winch is designed to slot easily into tight locations, whether flown or floor-mounted.
Designed for seamless integration with our distributed control architecture, the Mini Winch connects directly to its local drive, reducing earth leakage and removing the need for bulky centralised racks, saving both space and cost.
Fully compliant with EN17206, and equipped with a full suite of safety features rated up to SIL3, the Mini Winch delivers high performance, safety, and flexibility in one elegant package.
WhirlyReeler™ is a truly unique winch designed for hoisting practical elements that require their own power or data signal supplied through it’s very own lifting cable.
Capable of suspending loads up to 8.4kg, WhirlyReeler™ eliminates the need for additional cable reelers or secondary cable runs. Its core innovation lies in its ability to wind and unwind signal cable without a slip ring, allowing sensitive audio or data signals to pass cleanly through the lifting cable. This makes it ideal for applications such as flying practical microphones, where signal integrity and noise-free operation are essential.
The winch features a durable, precision-manufactured 3D printed drum paired with zero-fleet technology to ensure consistent and accurate winding of the cable onto the drum. Our proprietary lifting cable is capable of lifting loads up to 8.4kg and contains 4 copper cores, supporting both power and signal transmission. A custom termination provides a secure connection point while exposing the conductors as needed for terminating to the load.
Compact and self-contained, the WhirlyReeler™ houses its complete drive system onboard, including power supply and control electronics. With integrated rigging hardware, including lifting eyebolts and Doughty clamps for truss or bar mounting – installation is fast and straightforward.
Fully compliant with EN 17206, the WhirlyReeler™ features two independent load-holding devices, an absolute encoder, four limit switches, cross-groove detection, and a load cell for precise load monitoring. Combining functionality, performance, and safety in one elegant solution, the WhirlyReeler™ is truly one of a kind.
